Why is the game still randomly disconnecting?

I was happily watching end game cinematics and i got kicked out mid cinematic. I mean why? why do i need to be online to watch a movie? why can it not kick me after the cinematic has ended? i've been watching the battle in hell for a few minutes and where is the need for online connectivity?

Why havent they fixed the constant disconnects a year in?

it's an online only game, it requires a persistent connection to the servers whether you're playing or watching a cutscene

i can't speak for everyone but i've only had a couple of disconnects in over 550 hours

Because even a behemoth like MicroActiBlizzard cannot fix your cables and WiFi router Or more like - they won't, it's "you-problem", not theirs.

depends on your region... pings have been high for those who dont live particularly close to a hub of blizzard or microsoft. which also leads to disconnects.

It's an online only game so it will run as well as your internet connection will allow. I don't play as much as I'd like because it's laggy as hell, and it's something that I can't fix unless I can afford a new laptop and better internet. Most disconnect issues or crash to desktop isn't becaue of the game, but because of your setup.

I'm hardwired to a WIfi-6e router with gigabit internet and have an RTX 3070, an i7 10700, and 32gb RAM. I still get kicked out or disconnected every hour and a half or so.

I played the game just fine for over 8 hours now for last 4 every time i log in it crashes saying the client lost connectivity. I checked downdetector and people have been reporting issues all day.

sounds like a YOU problem. playing the game since release and never had any random disconnects...
