I am on steam too, but I used the same login as in Diablo 3. Maybe if you have that one too, give it a try.

Yes, I am also using the same Battle.net account that I use for Diablo III. This error occurred when I logged into Steam during the connection. I don't know the reason for the problem, so I am very helpless now.

Restart the computer and only start the game. Normally it will automatically start Steam and than the game. Further I am clueless.

Make sure your Steam account is tied to your battle account...VN is on? try tp turn it off and retry...
Do you make this issue resolved? I meet the same error today.
