is season 8 really that bad?

So i was about to start playing the new season, but everyone says its garbage, Is there much truth behind this?

Yes and no. The battle pass i don't think is worth buying (i bought it thinking it'd be great).. Previous seasons you got emotes, cards and other interesting things and this season they just make you unlock the same armour for different characters. I feel like they just used it as filler.
The boss loot is diabolical. You kill a boss and have to use 12 boss materials just to unlock a chest, instead of it dropping, and if you don't have 12 to open you cant keep killing the boss over and over. Boss material is a pain to get too.
The new seasonal story is super short and you cant find the town the rewards board is in because the icon is practically invisible.
Multiple bugs as-well. After many apparition incursions the boss doesn't appear sometimes.
Don't even get me started on RUNES, they're harder to get than mythics! They were easier to get in the season they came out in. There's other things but... anyways.
Some good points... The boss powers are actually pretty cool, I've been trying to get Liliths.
I do like how the battle pass is set out (reliquaries), its nice to pick what i want straight away.
The party finder is a great addition! We finally get to play with other people and so far its been awesome.
The usual farming of the pits, hell tide etc.. all still good.
Overall its fine. Just minor things that aren't great additions really.

it takes more time to up your level,and the season boss is annoying to defeat(who like to chase it all the time

IMO, I'm having a blast playing, but I digress - I'm a returning player after taking an extended break since launch, so there's so much new things to discover and do outside of the seasonal mechanics that I feel pretty engaged and having fun. For those who consistently play every season and spend hours upon hours playing, I can see why many would say this season is lackluster or just not good.

Season 8 made bosses Path of Exile 2 level bad, to the point where I skip them entirely This is going to be the first season where I won't complete seasonal challenge, just the battlepass.

i mean u mostly hear from the vocal minority crowd. the people who enjoy this game, they just play. they don't wander around discussion forums looking to express their opinions. lol

that said, i enjoy this season, despite it taking significantly more time to level up.

i mean, i am in T3, and the boss powers are OP , so much power spike and i think what they say about making the game hard but i dont feel any diference yet, battle pass suck ballss very predatory, i only playing because of berserk skins coming.

New premium BattlePass is bad for people who opted in for 1000 platinum BP variant all previous seasons, the new one also has regular 1000 platinum and Deluxe 2800 platinum variants of BP, but cheaper version will only return 200 platinum instead of 700 like it was in previous 7 seasons, so in other words the cheaper variant will cost you 800 platinum instead of 300 platinum (500 plat. increase), that alone is bad enough to voice our concern, but it doesn't end right there...

They did put a last piece of gear set into Deluxe version of BattlePass, meaning that if you go for 1000 platinum version, you won't get the complete look of this seasonal armor set...

That's a very scummy move to drive sales of much more expensive variant of BattlePass! During the past seasons, the Deluxe BattlePass had like 1 extra emote that wasn't even worth the extra price, but now it offers a pet which is much better when what was offered before, but locking up the final piece of armor set behind additional 1800 platinum is much worse!

If they keep it up for next seasons, that would mean that we talk not about 500 plat. increase (from 300 plat. to 800 plat. for each season), but each season will cost now 2300 higher! (from 300 every 3 months to 2600 every 2 months, which is way too expensive...)

Yes, Season 8 is the low point of Diablo 4. Very boring, nothing new, the drop rate for runes and mythics is a disaster. I think Diablo 4 will soon be dead.

These peanuts calculations are pure cringe. Did you expect multiple Versace dresses for $10 and then get $7 back? If $10 is that dear for you then you shouldn't even play games in the fist place.
