What's the point..
What's the point of building a character to clear say a 150 pit, e-peen/bragging rights or is there something I'm missing? My little minion build can do 95-100 pits and absolutely melts everything in the game to the point I could just walk through everything. I was going to try bloodwave but think it would make everything other than high level pits boring?

My personal goal was to unlock all battlepass rewards. I can also push to level 100 solo while I don't use min/maxed best-in-slot items or 100% copy-pasted meta builds. So I guess that's an achievement in itself. Maybe the new season will bring more encouraging peak end-game content. I heard they are planning to do something with bosses, that would be cool, considering I had fun learning attack patterns fighting that frost boss with my fresh character.

There is absolutely no reason to push the pit because there is no leaderboard and no rewards at all.
I've played d3 for around 1k hours and pushing greater rifts was my favorite endgame activity.
Here in d4 I only level my glyphs and never touch the pit again.
The pit needs a rework

So running pits and only pits is fun?

Yeah if you're running 100 pits you're pretty much just walking through everything else besides pits which was kinda what I was getting at. I enjoy just slaying everything and was thinking if I pushed my character any further everything else would start getting a bit boring.

Yeah I don't really do pits either, I know what my character can do so I don't bother. I enjoy just running around mashing things up and figured everything would be a bit boring if you're too powerful.

The pits. That's the end game. Over and over and over and over. Nothing else rewards enough xp to get that paragon bar to move.

well the higher pit levels adds more levels to glyphs so it's kinda make sense to push it harder, i'm 110 pit level without even maxed glyphs they are about 60+ so that's about it as for now. also as mentioned above highest exp income in game?

it would be kinda cool if pushing pit solo to the level let say 120 would unlock some activites like some special boss or something.

Yeah that's kinda what I was thinking. Pits are the best for xp but I couldn't imagine just running pits over and over.. hats off to anybody with the mental strength to be able to do that. I read from level 285 you need to run nothing but pits for 85 hours to get to level 300.

If other activities gave enough xp, I'd probably still be on the treadmill. I need the variety. I prefer open world where I can just log out when tired. Randomly farming xp. Something about being locked into a tunnel that I have to finish to get my reward, I hate. Even at 2/3 mins per.

Yeah I don't have the patience to just grind dungeons over and over either. I enjoy just running around melting everything but that gives virtually no xp.

i prefer nightmare dungeons over the pit too, but the 10% exp bonus is irrelevant in late game, scaling nightmare dungeons would be much better

100% at least you're also getting something from dungeons, the pit is just nothing but xp. I ran like 20 back to back last night and man that gets old quick. Hats off to anybody who has the mental strength to run them over and over to get to 300.

No. You play the game as long as you are having fun and then you stop. Pit 150 is insane and wasn't meant to be achieved. Unless you play the "broken build of the season" you will not get there anyway.

does anyone here have paragon lvl 300? i'm currently sitting at 250 and curious how much time it might take to grind through those last 50 levels. i feel like I might not hit 300 and snag that achievement before the season ends. probably will end up on something like 270, because it's a slog fest.
