Might be worth a try, heat is an issue for me as well.

2.3 ghz? The 8000 series was already pushing 5 ghz. Your problem is you are underclocking, not eco mode.

Keep in mind i am using a laptop. Overclocking it might be a big risk and the ECO 'solution' seems more safe.

Did this start happening recently? I haven't experienced any issues with CPU temperature and stuttering previously but after one of the last few patches something changed and I am having performance issues such as FPS drops, freezing, stuttering and my computer getting very warm. I have an Intel i7-11700K @ 3.60GHz, GeForce GTX 3070 Ti and 32 gigs of ram

Never been a problem before except for when VOH expansion dropped where I would be having significant performance problems in Nahantu which seemed to get fixed to some extent but now it's wherever and whenever I load up the game without missing a beat ..:cat_and_thoughts:

there is ecco mode but no battery lol we use PSU
