Is VoH worth it?
I'm getting D4 on sale tomorrow, but I'm still not sure if I should get the VoH Expansion or wait for a better deal. How much story content does it have? Will I be locked out of too much content by not getting it?

yes, get it...once you reach endgame you'll be missing a lot of content that comes from owning the dlc only...unless you plan to play a lot of hours per day wait to redeem the seasonal pass if you get the deluxe...the current season will end 21 january...

The story is ass but the rest of the content is good. Especially the Spiritborn class lol

Spiritborn is really fun, but as other people said, I'd only recommend you buying it if you like the game

Not really. The only content to miss in the expansion is Spiritborn class + new rune mechanics combined with the class. The rest of the content is nothing to write home about :lunar2019scowlingpig:

VoH Spiritborn is currently OP/broken (till the end of the season on January, 21) and it's the most fun class I've played since the release (230 hours played vs 100 per season average).

Well worth the price, until the inevitable nerf at least :lunar2019piginablanket:

Hopefully you'll be able to play longer than 15 minutes before you get kicked out of the game for no reason.

Why are you buying D4? go play POE2.

Because not everybody wants to play a slower, clunkier version of Diablo. The only similarity they have is that they are both ARPGs but PoE feels and plays completely different than Diablo

I like D3, so I'm sure I'll enjoy it as well, lol. I've heard it doesn't have much to do in the endgame, but I'm a casual, so I'll be playing the story, leveling up some characters until I complete the season, then probably stop (and come back sometime later when a new season drops, lol).

Does it have disconnect issues?

Without the Expansion you will miss out on the following:
1. Next chapter of the story
2. Ne ClassL Spiritborn
3. Rune Words
4. Merc system
5. New area with new Dungeons

If you plan to play seasins if you do not have the Expansion you will be locked out of new stuff. This season was the Realmwalker which can be found reguarly in the new area. Newt season will be something else locked out if you dont have Expansion.

You need the DLC too for full enjoyment.

The mercenaries are a major feature, I would pay for the expac for that alone. having a combat helper as a sorc is really good at low level.
