Do I have to paid again a Deluxe or Ultimate version?

Like many other players, I already have the Deluxe version on Battle.net.

I'd like to own the game on Steam, so can I get the normal version only and keep my items from the Deluxe version I bought previously? (I think so, since the game is cross-play, but I'm asking for security reasons.).

You just buy the base game and login with your bnet account

If you have already bought the Ultimate Edition, you only need to get the Standard Edition here. As long as you log into the game with the same BattleNet account, your progress, characters, and Ultimate Edition content will all carry over.

If you bought Diablo4 in Bnet previously you can now access everything with your steam version. You keep all your characters, horses, skins, archievements, etc IF you link your Steam account with your bnet account. So if you got the ultimate version or deluxe version in bnet, you do NOT need to buy these in steam again.

How do I link Battle net and Steam? Defiantly not paying again just to have it on Steam.

At Least if we had to bought it again but its a new version with a DLC included.... but 70€ for the same game, only the Steam achievements ?! i must be stupid or something cuz it is how they consider people who bought the game when it came out, by telling them to buy it again for steam achievements... Im not rebuying the game just to play on steam, i shall patiently wait till its transfered from battle.net when that is shutdown otherwise i guess its goodbye, world of warcraft i overpayed 200E on just to find out it freezes my system which happens exclusively in wow.
Diablo 4 has a vram memory leak but runs fine so far on battle.net
heck if not had a freeze in months not even in diablo 4 simply cos i gave up on wow, probably gonna give up on diablo 4 now as well.

Hope Microsoft makes things better at Activision Blizzard and for us customers in the long run.

100 percent they should do a d4 starter edition like they did with d3.... You log in and your purchase gets unlocked.... If you havent purchased you can play to level 20 then purchase if you choose to.... However..... that will probably never happen.

That's what i've been doing but what about now with the expansion?
I already have it on my main platform (bnet) and have standard steam edition here for steamdeck, but would I now be able to access the expansion content as every time i login into steam version it keeps asking me to purchase the expansion even through I already have and am using the cosmetics.
Considering the issue we had with the trial licenses a few weeks ago, i'm starting to suspect that we might need expansion as well on steam as otherwise it might prevent us playing the expansion on steam if only owned in bnet.
