This game sucks. My only real purchase regret this year - I wiped the game and bnet from my PC shortly after launch to wash the filth away. The campaign is certainly ok-ish, but then the game just falls apart. Boring loot, stale game progression. Modern Blizzard can keep their GAAS garbage and their "micro"-transactions. They have designed this hollow product to be as little fun as possible. Just a shambling franken-game of meaningless garbage numbers, nerfs and no fun allowed.

Just save your money and avoid this mess.

You know what they say, there's no such thing as a bad game... only a bad price tag. Diablo4 is a masterpiece of design, if you ignore the microtransactions, the bugs, the lack of content, and the boring gameplay. It would be the best game ever, if it was free to play. But hey, who doesn't love paying $60 for a glorified beta test?

I don't think it's bad. The core issue with Diablo 4 is that it's not good enough. The fund that have been invested into the project demand a certain amount of yield, but because Diablo 4 isn't good enough of a game, people just won't play it, thus figures aren't on par with the minimal demand. Right now it's a failing project, and it's up to Blizzard to fix it.

I think the problem is that they are trying to push Diablo 3.5 instead of actually making Diablo 4. There are other ARPGs that do things better than Diablo 3, so chasing that concept and trying to beat those ARPGs at their own game, isn't working. Blizzard has reached a dead end generally with everything. They haven't innovated their games, just milked the same game by reskinning it every 2 years, and the battle passes, etc. They need a full wipeout and bring some innovation to the table. Diablo 3 remake isn't working either, they need to throw it in the trash, then make true Diablo 4.
