Option to Not Download High Res Textures?
I was wondering if the Steam version will have the option to not download the super high res textures since it basically doubles the size of the game.

Diablo Immortal is made for people with storage problems.

Kind of disappointed this doesn't seem to be an option on Steam

edit: for anyone not aware on bnet it was possible to save around 40-50gb space by not downloading 4K textures but on Steam it looks like you're forced to download them
Since it makes you use battlenet to launch it, is there maybe an option there to delete the textures at least, even if the initial download is still double?

Oh does it? I thought it's like OW2 that it only needs an account, but haven't tried purchasing and testing yet
Oh maybe you're right, I misread the storepage since it says a Bnet account is required.

It doesn't launch the Battle.net launcher when I ran it on the Steam Deck. It just asks you link a Battle.net account. Maybe we can just manually delete the high res texture files?

I hope this option gets added. They can bundle the high resolution assets into a free DLC entry. Many other games on Steam do this, for example Rainbow Six Siege, Gears 5...

Cheers, I went ahead and hopped in the thread.

First of all, it's a multi *billion* dollar company. Second, yeah 100% agree!

You can remove the High Resolution Assets by going to the library, selecting Diablo 4, scroll down to see "Manage My DLCs", click it, then deselecting the Assets.
