Diablo 4 good and bad
I am considering buying it. Don't know much about this game. Played Diablo 3 before. But can someone point me out the goods and bads of this game?

Good:
  • Cutscenes quality is insane
  • Story is nice
  • Combat is fun and novel (until lvl 50 at least)
Bad:
  • Boring endgame
  • Battle Pass
  • Seasons with puny rewards for free players
  • Cosmetics that cost 100 times the base game if you wanna buy them all
  • Greedzzard™

The campaign is solid, the production values are high, the classes are well designed, and leveling up to 50 is a good time.
After 50 and the end of the campaign, D4 loses steam. The paragon points system is cool, but the end game content is thin and there aren’t many objectives to overcome to make the grind worthwhile.

To be fair, endgame and content will change a lot over time.

This is true. I think Blizzard said they’ve got 5 years worth of content plans with an expansion every year. If that actually pans out, D4 will be a real different game before too long.

What they say and what they do are two different things. To think we'll get more than one expansion for Diablo 4 is funny.

Diablo 4 is a polar opposite to 3.

It's designed to be live service first, fun arpg second. Anyone disagreeing with that is confirmed shill. Only pro is dynamic cutscenes , but the rest is puerile trash.

Search for raxxanterax (huge d4 youtuber) Diablo 4 Season 2 Trailer and you see what I mean.

They can't even get the simpliest math right.
If it wasn't for Raxx's video, that promo video would've been up a lot longer. I'm certain someone at Blizz saw Raxx's video and acted quickly. It was removed a few hours after Raxx's video was posted. They obviously had an inexperienced intern construct the video, there couldn't have been more blunders in it than any other video I've seen before and they're embarrassed about it now.

Basically if you plan on buying this game to just play through the story and not play anymore afterwards I think you'll enjoy the story. If you're someone that plays games to have fun and you want to get the best gear and skills and such in this game then you're better off skipping it as Blizzard recently has been making games as boring and annoying as possible to keep players playing the game and buying battle passes. Like lowering XP to take longer to reach cap and making teleports longer so you're spending more time in the game.

I mean the game is actually not that bad that people make it out to be. Yes, it had alot of broken stuff and lack of content at release but the gameplay is really damn good and the world is superb.

The new changes to season 2 will make make a pretty big difference by the looks of it.

It might not be perfect and it dont feel or act like a MMO but its worth a buy.

I've played D2 LoD since when it was first released and I can tell you, you have more things to do in D4 than D2 LoD, and it still is heralded as the best in the series. The only thing missing in D4 is Runewords, which was a nice system. Base D3 is nothing compared to base D4, with its ugly looking design, joke itemization and horrible story, it only got good after years of improvement. D4 will be the same, it will only get better within time, consequence of it being a live action game.

Diablo 3 started as bad or even worst than 4. People forgot the auction house? Or how the servers where down and sh!t at release for days? The endcontent was meh too. Came all with time and seasons.

Launch D3 had a similar problem of a bad endgame, but for different reasons.
Once through the campaign was fun, but getting through Nightmare and Hell was the endgame, and the drop rates on the gear you needed to do that were really low. You'd get drops, but not always for your class, so you were supposed to go to the auction house and sell the drops you got for money to buy the drops you needed.
But a lot of folks didn't want to use the auction house, a lot of folks didn't want to use the REAL MONEY auction house to buy but almost everybody selling sold there, and if prices didn't line up you'd have to either spend actual money to cover the cost of gear, or hope that you could find what you needed on the gold auction house.

I get WHY Blizzard put an auction house inside D3 (because of how much money those shady item selling sites made off D2), but it just didn't work for the game. Blizzard made the right call when the ditched the AH and upped the drop rates.

The whole "D3 started out bad" isn't justification for D4 to be bad, people aren't paying $70+ for a game to play a year down the road. D4 was released half baked, the campaign is good and that's about it. There is no end game, loot is terrible, and there are tons of basic features missing that should have been in place at launch. The devs are constantly flip flopping (exp, mob scaling, etc) and it feels like they have a bunch of small teams that don't communicate so they keep making different changes to the same things.

I'm not going to tell anyone not to buy it or play it, that's your choice just know that no matter what they call it you are playing "Season of Development".

^Yeah, it'd have been better if D4 had a better endgame now, but at least D3 is a precedent for D4 getting better down the road.
And I don't think it's bad now, just could be better.

D4 fixed D3's major defects i.e. cartoon graphics and boring "good vs bad is winning because Nephalem" story.

Also it's the only aRPG where characters looks so good that people actually buy optional cosmetics and battle passes.

(but tbh most paid cosmetics sucks except for that one Season1 micro-dress-shirt for fem-rogue - and it is/was free with the base game)
