controller/Steam deck gameplay vs keyboard mouse gameplay

I would like to buy the game to play on Steam Deck, but I am used to playing this type of game on keyboard and mouse. Is Diablo 4 pleasant to play with a controller or a portable console? or is it a hassle?

It is good with controller since the majority of players uses such a device for D4. Don’t worry.

Keyboard and mouse like always is far superior compared to controller however the game was designed with controllers as an afterthought so it works fine just not an optimal experience.

That's what I thought, but then why do so many PC players switch to controllers to play d4 on computer?

Yes D4 is extremely controller friendly.

It doesn't play the same way previous Diablos did, range isn't an issue, it almost has an auto target in that sense, mouse pointer isn't a thing in D4 if you're using a controller.
