what's a box price? there's no box unless you get the collector's or a physical copy for consoles

either way it goes on sale rather frequently for half price

Hard to say. With the price, each DIABLO IV owner/purchaser had to have at least 10,000 shared item slots. They might be famished money and profit, so they might sell each DIABLO IV owner/buyer one-time purchase, receiving 10,000 shared item slots, instead of free update of 10,000 shared item slots.

On sale, maybe, if you like to do seasons probably every 3 months. Full price, not really in my opinion.
The base game and expansion are not worth full price. On a high discount you get the true price the game and expansion are worth.

D4 and the expansion are very shallow without much depth to be found. However for cheap you might find some fun for a short while before the boredom hits you.
Full price no. On sale yes.

Yes, absolutely. But the game goes on sale so often you better just wait a month.
when it first came out, yes. my wife and i played daily. after the 3rd season our interest really tapered off as nothing seemed relevant and the game grew very dull and boring. I wouldn't pay more than about 10 bucks for the current state of Diablo IV. Each season gets less and less fun to play.
No. As I said in my review it is only worthwhile on deep discount. A perfectly enjoyable game (esp after some of the updates 4th quarter last year), but not worth breaking the bank for.

Still asking for way too much on the glam items, fortunately they are optional.

if you're a casual gamer wanting to play through an okay-ish campaign just wait for the free week they're kinda frequent. if you want a fun endgame experience, this game doesn't provide it. The "ethical builds" max out viability at around Torment 3 difficulty then you respec to whatever the OP build is for the season, and one shot everything in highest difficulty, with pit push being the only "challenging" activity. Devs don't play the game so balancing is rarely done and you can have 7 stacks of one material that you use 4/boss kill and like no material you actually need 15/boss kill. Trading is horrible imo, I'd rather have a system where I can exchange mats via vendor than add people claiming their stack of mats is worth 5 billion gold. Target farming is not really a thing. At its current state the game has zero respect for your time. imo they need Torment 5 difficulty that will allow to up the difficulty of bosses with better rewards similar to pit level scaling increasing the gained experience and actually having to do boss mechanic instead of oneshoting everything in sight. The expansion is not worth it at all either.

No, because:

Performance bad.
Many lags.
Events bad.
Graphic option locked for some machines without reason.
Story meh.
Too much modern audience.
Gear looks bad. Everything looks the same.
But you can buy cosmetics for ridiculous prices.
Characters look bad to me.

Get on good sale.

But it's a completely different game now
I was asking the same question a month ago when it was on sale. I picked it up cheap but would happily pay full price. I've put 200+ hours into it in a month so for me that's good value. Really depends how much game time you'll get out of it.
