Can't Attach Paragon Boards

So, I made it to my first gate at the top of board one. When I attempted to attach another board, nothing worked. So, I thought I needed to fill the rest of the first board, but I'm back at the gate and still can't attach a new board. I can go into preview, but when I click rotate or attach, the game mutes, and nothing happens. It's like I'm not even clicking those buttons. I can't even use the cancel button. What gives? Also, the graphics slow way down just like they do when I am in another monitor while the game is running. Why is this breaking? What can I do?

Verify the installation files, Steam patches act funny lately, in multiple games

Just in case: you have to unlock the gate itself + there is a limit of five boards total

Thanks. It's been a while since I've needed to verify. I appreciate the reminder. But it didn't work. It still acts like I've clicked out of the game when I try to click "Attach Board," "Rotate Board," or cancel. Rendering slows way down, and sound mutes, but nothing else happens. The gate's unlocked, and I'm still on the first board. I'm Paragon 59. Any other suggestions?

Thanks, I tried that, but then I figured it out. I wasn't clicking the arrow to expand it to fill the entire screen. It acts like you can do all of it in the sidebar, but it didn't let me. All the buttons appear and get highlighted when you hover over them. But you can't. Or at least I couldn't. After I clicked the left arrow, it worked fine.
