It's incredibily easy.
Endgame offers many activities BUT all of them are pointless, you literally end up oneshotting Duriel over and over to get the best loot in the game, which serves no purpose.
On sale it's worth it, it still offers hundred of hours of gameplay if like to experiment with classes, the average playtime x season is about 30 hrs, even less if you know what you are doing.
I would like to say it's a casual experience, that would be ok, but I'm more toward the fact that's an insult to the intelligence given how driven is the whole progression.
There isn't really a choice and, tbh, planning something makes no sense since the game is riddled with bugs and math formulas totally broken: if your calculator says that a given skill with a given equip should do "10" damage, don't be surprised if you see "10 Billions", it's broken at his core and impossible to balance for blizzard itself. They have been trying but I have the feeling that the team who started the project is no more and the current team doesn't know where to begin.
TLDR: on discount yes, offers enough hours to justify the cost.
Personal suggestion: buy Last Epoch if you didn't, in 2 days it gets a huge update.
Yes why not? the story it's ok and the new endgame it's also fine.
This game killed itself and the dev team are clueless on what to do.
this game is boring.
