On the one hand I understand your frustration but on the other I cant fathom expecting anything different from a Diablo game.
that's literally what happened though lol they added the content, and it had to be downloaded. an inconvenient timing for you to be sure, but still, you're a few years early for new content to just appear out of thin air with no need for installation
for better or worse diablo is an online game and as the other guy correctly pointed out it'd be a lot more of a hassle if your game just crashed out trying to load a spiritborn or any piece of gear from VoH
the actual expansion size is like ~30gb, with the download ballooning to about ~50 on bnet for the day 1 patch, so i think something else might be at work
you also might be running the hi-res texture pack which at the point you think the game looks like dookie anyway you might wanna consider just uninstalling that since that definitely balloons your installs. its an arpg anyway so most things are viewed from a distance
Wat? Try to speak in coherent sentences. The game looks really bad for the ginormous amount of assets that requires downloading every time a dev decides to add an easter egg or something. This is just lazy programming. I play a lot of games and have never encountered anything as ridiculous as this. I just bought it when it was on sale and I'm not impressed. The drops are dumb, all this event crap coming up completely ruins any mood the game could have set. I'll venture on, just to see if other areas are more interesting or if the game starts to become good all of a sudden. I have a feeling I'll be disappointed. Man, I thought D3 sucked, but D4 just totally one-upped this.
you dont have to play season mode
