Guess the people running the game decided they needed another yacht. The $1 billion they made propping up a "live service" game wasn't enough to provide us with content like they promised. This company has no integrity.
mad because bad
since when is a full expansion a microtransaction? this has about the same content as the diablo 2 expansion.
Diablo 2 didn't promise content updates through selling skins and battlepasses. They did here and instead took the $200 million they made and decided to sell us another patch at full game price. This is what is called a scam.
All the costumes and battlepasses should have be earnable in game if they were planning on selling patches to us. We were lied to and some people, like you, are ok with it for some weird reason.
Just a heads up, you are engaging with a well known troll that lurked on this forum for month, doing nothing but throwing slander and toxicity around.
Just ignore him, like we all learned to do, guess he will get himself moderated out of here again rather quickly.
Surely there are more right... RIGHT??
Mercs were available in diablo 2, the expansion only allowed them to be revivable and included a new type of merc (the barbarian in the expac act 5). I share some of the same sentiments, and yes you'll never make everyone happy. But as a live service game, they could have tied the DLC to your account instead of milking everyone who bought it multiple times already. I get it, destiny did the same thing though. I'm just tired of being taken for a ride getting ultimate packs and it not including future "season pass" content like they used to.
There are those of us who are entitled to dislike portions of the game the same way others are entitled to like every aspect. I was all for the cosmetic shop funding the game and even bought an item since I enjoyed Loot Reborn season. Locking specific content behind paywall = OK, locking featured functionality that can give someone the advantage even playing solo without a party = not OK.
In the end what we can see is the history of diablo and blizzard, the real money auction house was seen as a money grabbing function in D3, and they removed it, later they came out with the best game changing mechanics after RoS released, but only the content was paywalled not the features, it's not too late for them to change up diablo 4's aspect in terms of a more favorable approach.
Story, very short, ends so abruptly that I couldn't believe it and thought progress was bugged.
Spiritborn class is very good and pretty fun to play. New region is okish. Some nice and some meh parts.
Music is also hit or miss. Sometimes it's off for the general theme of the presented scene.
So if they had not included the Spiritborn class I would have given the update a 4/10.
the runes really spiced up some builds for me
Love how people that use logic and truth are considered trolls in this generation of kids.
