Still cant whisper to anyone not on friend list

It´s a common issue that people on steam can´t seem to whisper, no way I am buying the expansion when people are getting hammered like that. I kind of expected something like that because of blizzards reputation.

Yeah whisper mechanics are really FUBAR. I had the same problem and messing around with battlenet settings at some external cancerware site seems to have solved the problem. But it's really pathetic that they made a multiplayer game without multiplayer possibilities. I ain't gonna jump on voice comms with total strangers the first time I do, listening to them hot mic for hours. Or just to trade items online. Really bad design, period.

(Btw no sensible in game chat was THE number one reason online line play in Red Dead Redemption 2 became a complete fiasco. It's not an unknown game and it's not an unknown design fiasco. As a game dev learn from the mistake of others so you don't have to make the same mistakes yourself.)

This is working as intended. Blizzard removes features and punishes users that purchase the game in Steam in hopes that they blame Steam for the game not working and repurchase on BNET.

Yes, i can affirm, you need to add that user to your friend list for whisper. I think thats a Program Issue and needs to be patched.

I checked thrice that my chat setting on the cancerware site are as they should be. It still doesn´t work.

This is not a DIablo issue but a Steam issue. WHen i play D4 on my PS5 i am able to whisper to everybody, just when i play on the computer where i purchased the game at Steam, i am not able to whisper to non-friends. Its disgusting to see how long it exist and Steam doesn't care.
