Depends though, what they will do with the items stats.
I saw an example of a the new max 800, while everything 500+ something becomes 500+ legacy, anyway the max 800 item stats were basically identical to your current 925 items. If the stats on the items don't change, your eternal build will be identical.
But you should start doing seasons instead, then you will never worry about your items being redudant with a new patch/dlc, because you're starting from 0 anyway with each season.
If you're sticking to eternal only, you don't get to even experience the season only uniques, unless like in the next season they become part of main game, and then perhaps they aren't even what they were originally.
This is also true of older Diablo games as well. If you had all the best uniques/legendaries pre-expansion they were all effectively rendered trash one way or another when the expack hit.
Sounds like you're just finished with Diablo 4, which if true congrats! Enjoy the next game.
I wish it wasnt end as I realy loved that game but cmon... Doing it all again? They promised items will be squished down to item power 800 but in PTR it turned out we were scamed and they are red skull items.
I feel robbed of entire year of my life... Never any game did it to me that way...
but did you enjoy it or not
It doesn't matter if yes. It's like giving a child Lego set and then take it away with asking: "But did you enjoy it right?".
Or being dumped by Grilfriend/Boyfriend after long relationship with same question...
No, just better items came out
it's natural and healthy to stop relationships if they are no longer enjoyable
Then you must have sad love life and experience in very dissapointed relationships. I hope it will change for you as we all deserve better.
Also no, items are worse. How could they be better while we stop doing milions of dmg and does now thousands? I don't feel its good change. Max life reduced from 45k to 4,5k hurts a lot.
I know that for a fact. Nobody who cries this much about meaningless non-issues is actually going to quit the game when they ANNOUNCE IT TO THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD like you just did.
You don't even understand what changes the game is going through.
You are ignoring the fact that monster damage went from 1000 per hit down to 100... You have less health points but you don't have less effective health.
You can now play on Torment 1, which is all you need difficulty-wise to find the best items in the game (very rarely). You can chill on the low difficulty.
You don't have to push Torment 2/3/4 difficulties if you can't handle them.
You'll be totally fine, so again: see you on October 8th when you inevitably play the game anyway after you realize Season of Hatred (season 6) is even more of the fun stuff you already liked about the game.
So you understand the changes? You're a game dev now? Tell us how much more changes this game gonna need?
The worst is fact S4 and 5 made me realy starting to get me into grind all nights. My goal was to have all uniques of all classes. Now regrinding that all would be real pain. I wanted to move on and do DLC stuff, not do step back...
Just pay $40 to watch all your items become useless like every other blizzard fanboi.
