help please , controller question
So i wanna chill in my bed and play diablo 4 with a controller but i noticed that i cant choose the location to spawn my spells (im playing sorcerer) . Talking about some spells like Hydra where u spawn 3 snakes.

Is there a way to choose the locaition? cause its very annoying for them to spawn almost randomly

They specifically designed the controller to be fully automated so players can play with their grandpas and grandmas. It was a big thing when mouse free look came out in quake and players would get stuck looking at the ceiling and floor without understanding how to aim with a mouse. Grandmas and grandpas still experience this problem so Blizzard designed this automated aiming system to be inclusive for playing coop with your grandma and grandpa.

On controller, it will auto-target where spell effects, etc, will occur.

This can be a problem and M&K users have an advantage in terms of targeting and skill effects.

For example: A Sorcerer "Lightning Spear" build player can cast Lightning spear and, since it "tends" to track towards the player's current "target" the M&K user can move their character in one direction and mouse-hover over targets in the opposite direction... A controller player can not do that.

Similarly, a Rogue "Barrage" build of any sort that uses the Umbercrux to spawn a Totem target will be very hampered while played with a controller because the player has to rely on where the game decides to place that totem relative to the target.

I play using a controller, because it's more relaxing and funnerer... BUT, that does mean that end-game gameplay can be a bit more difficult.

Note: For the downsides of M&K, the only one I could see is that the player must rely on "pathing" algorithms. However, with a controller, the player can easily get "stuck" on objects or run into collision boxes the M&K player wouldn't have ever experienced. :)
