The (free for owners of the game) Season 6 launches on October 8th, alongside patch 2.0 and the (paid) Vessel of Hatred expansion.

About as meaningful as season 4 or season 5.

It will be "Season of Hatred", with Mephisto-influenced big bad demons that drop a portal to Hell when killed. When you beat the challenge behind the portal you get a chance to unlock game-wide consumable buffs of some sort that give you magic find for specific type of rewards (i.e. enemies drop Obols or enemies have higher chance of dropping XYZ type of item).
