It's fine to run solo. Just need more backup if you plan on doing crazy events/dungeons.
I just finished playing the game solo as a necromancer and I beat the game at a jog and the last third of the bosses often died before they finished their opening talking at the start of the battle because my minions just melted them in seconds.
So it's definitely solo-able, I guess you kind of need to expect your fun to come after you beat the game the first time.
This is changing however as soon as Vessel of Hatred comes out, they are adding an exclusive party only dungeon area. You will not be able to solo that at all and it just so happens to be their upcoming and brand end game content.
Several times I got kicked out due to a lost connection.
The line was totally ok but the connection was lost.
Quite frustrating on a single player game.
In season 6, there will be some content that will be more party orientated, but prolly it means that if one peep messes up, they're dead, while you can still solo it.
