a lot of people dont want to rediscover everything and especially dont want to have to collect all the lillith shrines again and stuff like that
how to reset this ?.I want to discover the map from the beginning , every time I pick a new character
I think there is a way to do that through your Battlenet account. There isn't an option from the game client to do that AFAIK.
The problem is that some players during the Betas were very upset they had to uncover the map again for each character, especially all the Waypoints. Blizz changed it to keep them from complaining... The same goes for the Campaign.
For myself, I don't care so much. Having to uncover it wasn't a terrible chore, thanks to early-availability of mounts. Those were also unlocked for all characters instead of forcing them to only be available after the character leveled to 25 or so.
Clearly he cares, you fking numpty. Such an asinine comment. Also I care
Same here. So is there a toggle in a menu somewhere to turn this off? As well, any way to turn off the "use a free booster!" big pink quest marker on new characters maps?
It's really simple, it's a new character that should have no knowledge of areas they haven't explored etc.
That's the way it's been with prior versions of the game, and the story in the game itself suggests you're a newcomer exploring a new land with no prior relationships or contacts to give you information (until you unlock them through the story).
When the map is fogged out and you explore it, there's a natural progression of the story and if you don't know where to go, explore the fogged areas. Now it's just *boom* explored with icons all over the place. It's a mess.
What anyone has to say here is ultimately pointless. Blizzard designed it this way and that is that. Map progression, Lilith alters, ability to purchase mounts, and several other things are tied to directly to your Account as a whole not characters. This is not going to change and there is no way to disable it.
Do you have any specific info about how the next season is going to be? Where did you find it? I am curious...
Seems more like making the game more punishing especially with bosses, making the level 1 to 60 take longer then it normally does.
Pieces from what I remember seeing are:
- Increase in Boss difficulty, with what seems to have some bosses having more things that need to be done to defeat them.
- Removing summon materials, now seems like you need lair keys or something like that.
- Increasing the time it takes to get from levl 1 to 60
- Changing the difficulty of the game as as they claim making T4 really, punishing, more then it is now.
if you wish to know more or if I didn't understand something right its all out there cause thest have done a PTR so the basic info of the "Changes" is available.
There is a concern now that they will moving in a way to satisfy the more "hadcore" players cause they wont stop complaing about how "Easy" the game is. Admittedly not sure if I will be playing past Season 8 if they decide th really screw over the Casula platerbase....the core base of this game.
The usual youtube suspects. Rob2628 will be your main cheerleader and a good source for the OP builds. But the general read on the coming season is a slowdown and increase in difficulty. That's straight from the horse's (pick your orifice), last dev chat.
You're not wrong immersion wise but I'm pretty sure people in the Diablo universe have maps, since they rely on trade routes. It might make more sense if the main town areas were already discovered, while the wilderness remained unexplored. Discovering the map is quite fun, as it gives a sense of exploration, not gonna lie
