How is there seriously still no Paladin?

I've now come to the conclusion blizzard don't want Paladin. There is no plate wearing shield users (necro dont count...) No Holy Warrior, no tank shield builds etc, I think blizzard don;t actually want paladins, maybe because they are too close to resembling crusaders IRL and that it PROBLEMATIC in today's scene?

anyway theyre teased during the expansion and apparently a leak is swimming around. not hard fact but im sure diablo team knows people want paladin. however its unlikely to appear as paladin/crusader

they also know people wanted monk, and spiritborn is by blizz's own word a spiritual successor to monk

I think that's because it's a corrupted cursed land setting.
Thus you have necromancer, sorcerer, rogue etc - those "dirty jobs".

Similarly there is no priest, mage, monk and obviously paladin.

Maybe the next expansion race will introduce a death knight, a paladin tank style but with dark aura.

There are literally Paladin NPCs all over the last zone, and the entire setting of that zone is Paladins and their keeps fighting etc. Paladin is 100% the most themed diablo class lol. Also mage = Sorcerer.

They are literally not paladins. They are literally Crusaders.
Crusader is a class in Diablo 3, so it's a reference.
