Main Quest gone after crash

Yesterday my game crashed when I tried to switch to world tier penitant.
After reloading, all my quests were gone. I can't finish the main quest as I can't pick it up anywhere. Side quests I can pick up again.
Any tricks would be appreciated.
Steam also somehow doesn't show me a backup to reload....
