I just received The Butchers Cleaver 2nd try

I just received the butchers cleaver and I don't know what class can equip that? Maybe barbarian only? It is a level 16 item and the butcher dropped it for me. I'm gonna keep it.

Afaik all classes but the spiritborn can now use axes.

And the Butcher (normal one, not event) does now always drop the cleaver it seems

Not true, I tried with sorcerer and didn't let me equip it.

well, Sorcerer could not equip axes before, but they changed the restrictions, from what I heard Sorc could now use axes, but might not be true.
Haven't played sorc this season myself. Rogue could also not use axes, same as Necro, so back then only Druid and Barb could. But again, I read in the official patchnotes that there was changes, but don't remember the exact ones.

Edit: Just checked, the website I read on that all but Spiritborn can use axe was obviously wrong, official info is that with S5 Necros now can use axes, along with Barb and Druid who could before. So no Rogue or Sorc.

If i recall, its not something you equip. I though it was a horse trophy? I got one when the game first launched.

There's both a mount trophy and an actual weapon.

Last Season, the Butcher's Axe was part of the meta for a couple of variants of druid build, for example. I don't know if it's used in any builds for this Season.
