I wish seasons rewards/loot/ should have been for all previous characters.
Theres no benefit to buying the pass, even if you but the tier skip you cant then use the ashes to boost leveling till one char has naturally hit certain levels which anyone f2p or not buying the pass will have at the same point.
i also didnt get this game loop at first, but after not enjoying seas 2 or 3, and giving season 4 some proper time. im ok with it, its just a hard reset to put everyone back to a level playing field and start fresh.
It just makes too much sense for Blizzard to not employ a seasonal structure to this live service game, it's not a one-and-done title and they need to try and keep players from burning out and losing all interest.
If seasonal restarts upset you, you were never the target audience of this game.
This isn't even a new concept, it's just refined from what we had before. We've had ladder resets for decades now and those were SO MUCH LESS INTERESTING than a new season in Diablo 4.
Eternal Realm is a graveyard for old characters.
$3 but you get $0 of value. At least when you buy the beer you get something out of it.
