I am not sure with what class to go with for this season,which would be the better option Rogue or Barbarian?Asking before i progress too much

Never go off the words of others. All classes have there own play style and you have your own style you enjoy. Some are move and go glass cannons while others are in your face slow but tanky builds. Personally I enjoy Rogue due to the clear speeds as a first 100 for the season. Even if it isn't your main it's nice for the base speeds to farm mats

Better option . . . for what? It's literally impossible to answer that question without knowing what your'e aiming for. If it's "the most fun," nobody can tell you that either due to the subjective nature of fun.
