Only, he is talking about the events you can find in dungeons, those do not count for sidequests in a region or anything.
@OP:
The reward is really lackluster indeed, I actually assumed they would drop Obols like the overworld events, but come to think of it, I am not so sure about that.
Anyway, as a casual, I like the little "distraction", when rushing through dungeons, a moment to "stop", often even helping some (random npc) in the process, just feels like I am actually taking care of the world and not just running through it.
But if you try to max out time/reward and speedrun as much as possible, they are useless and should be ignored, I guess.
Now I come to think of it, the spawnrate of monsters, especially elites, during some events, might even be worth it for the XP payout while leveling, I guess.
