Attack power as a sorc

Can someone help me understand why I do more damage with "less" attack power if I'm yielding a staff as opposed to a wand + offhand?

probably because of the legendary power on the staff.

It's a dps estimate. Staff can have less attack power because it's slower, but still do more damage per hit. Thank god D4 actually also tells you how much you do per hit unlike Last Epoch which only gives you DPS.

maybe they have afix like more dage to close / far enemy or other soo in overall give more damge
