It's the opposite. Sadly this game was made for players who play it for 1 hour a day or so.
Leveling is getting buffed with each season that takes less and less time to level up to 100. For a casual player it's a big win and not so much for an experienced player, unless you like it that way.
Drop rates are not even close to "insanely low" and more like a joke to me. Bosses drop all the vital Unique Items at 100% rate and since Bosses are just dummy's - they're easy to kill. In Season 4 with all the power added I'm 99% sure you can easily blast through "New" content and get your free Uber Unique. So in the end you don't even need to farm anymore. Everything is handed to you and just another loot pinata. I even doubt it's gonna be hard with the "new" crafting system since it's plain and easy to slam things on, at least you won't need to pick up tons of trash anymore so that's good.
Hundreds of hours? Maybe at D4 launch, but not anymore. So much for longevity.
and i think is true diablo is for casual with for me is good
Right because as an adult, there's never something that can just pop up mid dungeon.
jesus christ, imagine defending a game you can't put down mid game and pick back up.
Imagine being unable to just put down the game when something important comes up. Worst that can happen? Your character dies. Couple of gold in repair and a few meters to run back to where you died.
I would like to be able to pause the game, but it's not really an issue, if you have a healthy relation to gaming, as in, rl comes first, I either make sure I got the time to do what I start ingame, or just accept when something more important comes up.
One reason I stopped raiding in WOW years ago was because I did not want to commit for several hours to a game anymore.
Now, D4 is actually really light on the commitment, most activities can just be stopped halfway, and either resume at a later time, or if you lose out some progress, it is never more than a few minutes.
Uh nope, you can pause Tetris.
Who said I was unable? I said it's stupid you lose all your progress because of this. The fact you guys are trying to defend a modern age game being unable to pause or save is actually wild. Huffing the strongest copium in here.
How about not buying a game then that is planned, developed, and advertised as an always online live service mmo?
The FACT that you want the game something it was not meant to be, just shows your inability to cope with the harsh reality.
If you don't like how Diablo 4 works, then just get some other game?
Btw. as I already pointed out, the "progress you lose" is insignificant, it's not like hours of work are undone, if you take your time in a dungeon, the most you would ever lose, assuming it hits at the end, would be like, 15min?
Lmfao. it is NOT sold and marketed as an MMO. Nice try though. Diablo has always been a singeplayer ARPG with a multiplayer choice. This game tries to make it some quasi in-between piece of ♥♥♥♥. Steam will literally list it as an MMO if it is one. This is not listed as such, and even says "single player" right at the top. It's not single player, its forced constant multiplayer.
15 mins for a dungeon? You're on crack. Dungeons take easily 30 minutes minimum at the start of the game. Maybe later on it takes no time at all to run a dungeon. But not at the start.
And I'm not for repeating the same 30 minutes over and over because the games got ♥♥♥♥♥♥ design. You can suck blizzards ♥♥♥♥ all you want, this always online is absolute trash and makes the game worse.
Literally in the system requirements.
Still doesn't make it an mmo?
Go check out Path of Exiles store page. Where it literally says "MMO".
And as Inuyaki pointed out, it's right in the requirements, further down (in the fineprint) there again is noted: Battlenet account required, internet connection required.
And Diablo never had a pause function when you played it online in any iteration, and with a bit of research beforehand, it's absolutely clear that D4 is not an offline game and has severe restrictions due to keeping everything always-online and stored on the servers.
Sure that can be annoying, but again. it is what it is, your fault for wanting it to be something else.
