seasonal play and main story

did they ever fix seasons to be on a central server so i dont have to keep making new characters each time or is it still making you do that? Also are the seasonal story missions still based on stupid ♥♥♥♥ like "go collect 300 ox anuses then kill 20 dildo monsters in order to unlock the next part of the story." Also did they ever get better writers for the seasonal stories cos I tried that tainted heart thing n it just felt half assed story wise.

ALSO are they continuing the story what with the Mephisto being a wolf etc? I kinda wanted to see where they were going with that.

"Introduced a new Ladder System for those who prefer to play free from any characters who may have participated in past item duping or hacking. To use this new feature, a player places a check in the Ladder box upon character creation - in the same way that Expansion and Hardcore selection is done. Periodically, the Ladder may be reset, adding the old Ladder characters to the regular population - who, of course, cannot play games with the new season's Ladder characters. Thus, every season each new Ladder character truly starts from scratch, as no 'twinking' is possible from older characters." -Diablo 2, 1.10 patch notes

so i just need to make a seasonal character n that character is good to go fro the other seasons or is it like 50/50 they can continue on. Can u just summarize im ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ retarded n im not reading all that.

ok so the old characters can only play for that season then

Are you asking if you can start a new season with an existing character? You can't. Every season you take part in starts with a new char. At the end of the season, you can bring the seasonal character to the regular (Eternal) realm along with whatever they want to bring with them, but during the season, they are isolated from your other chars.

well that sucks balls; at least in 2 there was an excuse cos it was 2001 and they probably didnt have the server capacity but its 2024 n blizzard is popular enough that they have their own convention based off their company. You're telling me you can't just let my character from last season venture on into the next season? kinda lame. Like throw some money at it n get some good developers to make it happen.

now it wouldn't be too bad if all the stuff that happens in those seasons are ALSO put into the eternal realm so my level 40 seasonal Necro can participate in new seasons etc


no news on the story/writing though eh? that's a shame that most the post main game content is lackluster n poorly written.
