If you buy the game on Steam, you have to link it to a Bnet account.
You can either use your existing account, or a new one.
If you use your existing account, you will share progress of that account on all versions connected, but only one can be active at a time.
If you make a new Bnet account, you can start the game via Steam, and give that old Bnet account to a friend, and he can play there, and you can play together.
Not gonna argue if giving away accounts is ever a good idea, but that's the way it goes.
My old is bnet
Can i just like link new and creaate new bnet acc (assune to donate new acc) then after that i unlink new acc to link bank my old acc from bnet?
I think is counter rules share account to other. With free too.
This worked with Ubisoft and EA games.
This is why needing an extra account to play a game besides your Steam account is lame. Which is why I am avoiding every game that requires another account to work.
Tired of these games forcing people to make an account just to play something they bought. If it's on Steam, your Steam account should be the only account you need. If not, I have no problem not buying these overpriced/cash grabby games.
I don't htink that would make sense, the new account would only have the Steam license, no original Bnet license, so it could only be played on Steam. But without owning the game on the linked Steam account, not possible.
And not sure about unlinking and relinking Bnet to Steam in general.
So if you want to get another account for someone else, just gift them the game to their Steam account, or gift it on Bnet?
And if you just think you can "recompensate" for buying the game again on Steam to play through Steam, well... not gonna happen. You pay for the platform license.
