Es ist schon klar, das vieles Teurer geworden ist.
Man lockt mit Dingen, die ohne Probleme in ihrem Online Shop Angeboten werden könnten oder können und schon Angeboten werden. Liegt es daran, das die Geschäfte im Online Shop schlecht laufen! Dann könnte es an den Preisen dort liegen.
Wenn ich Platin Erwerben möchte, kann ich das dort tun. Dies gilt auch für Flügel, Begleiter usw.
Das Spiel Diablo 4 wurde in verschiedenen Editionen seiner Zeit verkauft.
Nun soll man für ein DLC noch einmal den selben Preis zahlen.
Ich für meinen Teil, werde für ein DLC nicht diese Preis Politik mitmachen.

40€ ist Standardpreis für sowas. D2 und D3 Addons hatten damals den gleichen Preis.
Der Onlineshop ist für kontinuierliche Weiterentwicklung und die Seasons. Der extra Content über ein Addon war von Anfang an mit zusätzlichen Kosten beworben und so ziemlich jedem war klar, dass das dann 40€ oder 50€ sein wird. Wenn das zu teuer ist, halt warten. Ich sehe aber das Problem nicht.

Making new content takes time and man hours. Is your expectation that they offer this all for free?

A game that consistently creates a lot of good content and fast, is worth supporting imo. Remember, gaming is a luxury in its current format. We need to keep investing in companies, who will slave over creating content for the player base, and listen to almost everything we say, because we have lots of money. Only someone living paycheck to paycheck, or financially struggling would disagree with this opinion.
(Not saying this perfectly applies to Blizzard)

They have an ingame shop. That should be enough. Asking for anything above that is pure greed.

WoW nächste Expansion ist 50€.
FF14 Endwalker war 40€.

Doch, ist so ziemlich Standardpreis für Expansions von AAA games.

i agree with this, problem is most these the smaller companies either get consumed in the corporate market or bought out bye them if they do well! then history just repeats itself! there are a few exceptions like larian studios, gunfire games just to name a couple, but im positive corporate is trying to buy them out as well. Most people that are living paycheck to paycheck are just another causality to debt slavery! These days if you don't have one mil in assets you are a broke! even that isnt nothen its just not broke!

What I meant was D4 wasn't worth supporting, until Season 4. In its current state I think it's worth supporting. However, I'm still new to the Diablo scene, since I recently bought the game, so take my opinion with that in mind.
