Too much Enemy Damage and what the Poison
Hi,

we all no leveling up to 100 is a breeze and done very nice because you can check out things, level a little and look at the items and everything

doing NM dungeons 100-120 and helltides also easy chill Fun

LvL 75 Boss -> who cares

even the pit up to Level 20 is no Problem...

...but i think the Monster Damage is way too high.

i go full def and with 25k Life 10k Armor and all 70% res and a good chunk damage reduce from items / skill -> still so much dmg incoming :(

i can't do any Level 100 Boss and could "barely" do Level 30 pit

*bought the game like 2 weeks ago and using all orange Items and Firewall Mage

25k is average hp, even less if you take the glass cannon buff/debuff, most things in the pit hit for 10 to 20k, a pit shadow boss will one hit you at 25k hp. A crappy mechanic thats for sure, specially since pit bosses have lots of hp, and they seem to get damage reductions the more times you stagger them.
Doesnt really add up you can do dungeons lv 100 and cant move past pit 30 tbh. You die on pits or run out of time?

Well some stuff you have to avoid (evade/teleport) or use damage immunity.

On my sorc, I'm at 76% resists across the board, 10K armor, 9K hp, think they have 15 or 20% dodge chance. Mostly in legendary gear, only two uniques in chest and legs.

I got damage reduction from a number of sources, I don't quite understand how it works, as it clearly isn't flat additive between all the things that might apply in any given second. Lets call it 20% average from 3-4 different things.

Am currently stuck at pit level 44 and that is all down to, did I get lucky with an easy boss or an annoying one with bonus annoying summoned adds, combined with an open room or a room with pillars to block some attacks.

I run both flame shield and ice armor, you'll probably have to invest in something similar if you have not already.

Sorcs are ridiculously squishy without those abilities. Teleport is also popular over evade if you into that option.

Ideally you just burn everything down before it burns you down.

A tank sorc is kind of pointless, you have to do cheaty things like run ice armor or flame shield non stop and that isn't easy to do, at least not for me, I know some others stack things to do just that or get pretty close to it but I always screw it up by going all out on damage.

I can't play like that guy, too technical/perfect etc. But it can be done.

You can use always-up bonestorm-shield minion necro or permanent flame shield sorc or stun-locking heartseeker rogue builds for near-zero incoming damage.
