Is Master working doing such a difference?
I am currently a level 99 necromancer with an armor entirely made of ancestral unique gear with the highest tiers of gems inside of it. Yet if I go to the fields of hatred I die in one hit from any necromancers level 100. Current since I am not yet level 100 and because I am not sure if there is New Gear available once I am level 100 I haven't started masterworking any of my equipment so I want to know if the reason I die in one hit is because I haven't mastered worked my equipment or if it is because the game is horribly balanced making it that level 100 of the same class can one shot level 99 or if they're using a build that make it so they one shot anything. If it is because the master worked their gear making it a lot more powerful can someone explain to me how getting materials to master work gear works because I know it requires the obducite found in the pit however as far as I can tell no matter if I'm at tier 17 which is my current maximum or tier one I get the same amount which is 25 so why would I fight at the 17th level instead of farming them at level one? I've never actually done the same tier twice so the only thing I can think of that would make it why I wouldn't do the same rank over and over again is if I can only get it once per tier but if that's the case I can only get so many in one playthrough so I don't want to waste them on gear that isn't the strongest I can get in the game.

For *3 gear yes it does, but the 4x masterwork level up has to land on one of those * bonuses, which random. Save masterwok lv5 and up for 3* that you are going to put in the work, otherwise run pit till lv 30 and level up to masterwork 4 only and see if you notice a difference.
Youll get as many tier material as you run it, like lv 30 pit gives 39 obducite, every time you complete it within the time allowed. At 31 its ingolith.
As for PVP currently necromancer are exploiting some skills combos so they can one hit anyone, they will get bumped down mid season perhaps. Idont really PVP so am unaffected.

I don't PVP either because I hate playing against players but I want the Cosmetics that I can only buy with the red things once I'm able to buy all of those I'll stop playing against other players. Other than that I understood the part where you said that necromancers are abusing a skill combo currently and it'll get buffed out but the rest I'm not sure I understood mostly because English is not my native language so I'm having a little bit of trouble understanding every detail so I'm going to re-ask a part of the question with what I now know and I'm hoping for a simple answer. I do get more of the masterworking material the higher tier of the pit I am at but I can redo tier one over and over again to get to 10 every time. The part that I'm still unsure about is if masterworking equipment really does that big of a difference. I know it upgrades the affixes I'm just not sure if upgrading them does such a huge difference that it would allow a level 100 player to kill level 150 enemies by the waves. Or if they just slightly increase the amount of damage the player does.

Like i said , if you run the pit tier that gives you 10, you will get 10 every time, if you run pit tier 30, you get 39 every time.
Now to kill mobs lv 140 or so, or like those lv 150 that varshan spawn like candy, you need to get gear that will get a boost with masterworking, now if you are running full uniques, its not likely you will get far because most uniques favor crowd control, not single dmg dps like 3* legendaries.
As for the PVP cosmetics, the pvp shop isnt going nowere, so you can wait till a balance patch arrive and give it a go, but from what i read on pvp, if you want to farm those shards is best go with friends.

I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm repeating and things like that but like I said English is not my native language so I try to simplify it and hope someone just tells me yes it's that or no it's not that so essentially masterworking my equipment does make it quite a bit more powerful but it's not necessarily the best possibility am I getting this right? Also when it comes to the shards and doing it with friends the thing is I don't exactly have friends I do know a couple people in real life that play the game but they're not the kind of people that I can ask for help because we're not close and we don't exactly get along I just know that they play the game. So I have to do it solo or with people I don't know.

Masterworking your equipment does make it much more powerful. In order to reach your character's highest potential, you must Masterwork your equipment.

Crafting the appropriate Tempers on your gear is also very important - Tempers are a new, extremely powerful, addition to crafting.

It is not possible to advise you on what seems to be a problem for PVP unless you know what "one shots" you/kills you and what Class build you're using.

Remember - A player who is level 100 may seem like they're just one level higher than you, but they may have been level 100 for weeks and have already leveled all their Glyphs to 21, have farmed ideal PVP gear, and have customized their Paragon board for PVP as well. Any level 100 player character is very likely far more developed than any level 99 character.

last question, is there gear thar has lvl 100 as a requirement or is the highest 90? because right now i have mostly lvl 90 gear, a few 80 left but before i start spending resources on my gear i would rathe have max lvl gear.
Neithan Jun 4, 2024 @ 1:33pm
Max level requirement on gear is actually 80, but Royal Gems require level 90 to use, so any gear with one socketed will require level 90.

The important part is the item-level, highest is 925, but it can scale char level requirement to when you aquire it, you can have ilvl925 gear that has lower requirements than char level 80.
Like, you can get some WT4 reward caches that are account bound, and open them with a lower char. A character that just arrived at WT4 with level 70 or even lower, can get 925 ilevel stuff from those caches that will require his current char level.
Not tried in S4, but S3 I used the weekly trial dungeon (gives up to 4 caches with ilvl925 gear) with my lvl100 Druid to "instantly" equip my Sorc with maxlevel gear when he entered WT4 at lvl62.

All uniques is probably trash. My friend tried power leveling me with his lvl 75 necro, and he was dying constantly in wt3. I checked his profile, and he had like 5 ancestral uniques on. His build had no theme. It was all over the place. Buffing random ♥♥♥♥ instead of focusing on making one thing really strong. My (at the time) lvl 81 necro was running wt4 without dying, and killing everything quite quickly because I just followed a build. His lvl 75 necro full of ancestral uniques was getting smashed in wt3. Just cuz its a unique does not mean it's good for your build. You need synergy in your gear. Aspects are key. Not uniques with aspects buffing all different things.

I cannot read any of that but I'm guessing that it's an explanation in another language because I mentioned that my native language is not english. For what it's worth I Now understand the answer to everything I asked but since this message was just sent I might as well say that I speak French.

Never found 3* gear... only found 1 or 2 *2 gear... All were crap.... Tbh.. every single piece of gear since level 80/90 is crap...
Found 1 *2 item and it was bricked because it kept rolling the same stupid prefix on it.
Also doing pit 70 or pit 30 doesn't seem to have any effect on the drop quality at all.. NONE.
But yeah endlesslesly grinding for masterworking mods is usefull to make your crappy item less crappy.. That is what this game is all about.

And once those season elixters (bolts) run out I won't even be able to get those as it is the only reason I'm able to pit 30+ with the necro anyways.
