Please remove always online

Hiya blizzard please remove the always having to be online so steam deck players could actually buy this for campaign..

Ive bought all diablo games but I can't stand your forced online for single player mode.

It's very annoying since I only play it as if completely single player and even more so that the server has kicked me many times for no reason (I have a stable fibre connection my sensitive work VPN doesn't drop on so it isn't me) and I have lost progress because the server disconnected me.

Plus always online means I cant pause the game when I need to immediately AFK due a work call and I get kicked for going AFK too long when I should be able to pause as long as I want to.

Every time I see this on sale im tempted to get it but the always online for campaign is silly... I liked that diablo 3 I could play campaign offline.

It is a good game, not gonna deny that but yeah the always online puts me off buying more like this in the future.

They wont remove it, Why I never cared for trying out Hardcore like I did in D2, Diablo 4 server's in all honesty are garbage, idk how many times ping spikes way up for a few seconds or get disconnected sometimes.

Ehm actually just realised can't even play diablo 2 without online, I use a Nintendo switch too and its a nice console but that's a bit annoying too and it never computes to when out and about why just why a game to play while out and about isn't possible...

Yeah OK I find the steam deck losing connection even inside WiFi area but also, I am talking about when you want to be mobile with your mobile device .. then it won't be connected and well obviously won't work.

I do that all the time and just connect the Deck to my phone's hotspot.

This is SO misleading.

@Anyone thinking about doing this - Dont. This guy is obviously rich. Turning your phone into a hotspot is asking for trouble. Never do this, unless you are on a deserted island kind of thing and REALLY need to get that document sent into the office.

If you think roaming charges are bad, by all means, use your phone as a hotspot.

What kind of nonsense is this? I have unlimited hotspot data, part of my shockingly expensive phone plan that's $80 a month lol. Most hotspot plans don't even charge for overages either, they just slow your speeds down heavily after you use your limit.

You can on PC if you got the original copy of the game, I just made a backup of my Diablo 2 LoD disks and Diablo 1 disk, still work on Win 10 and 11 with no fighting but the 1024x768 res kinda sucks, haven't found a great res mod for it yet.

Can play Diablo 1 in a browser now, of course need the internet xD
