Bought it hours before sale! HELP!

Hi all, I purchased this at full price yesterday evening, hours before the sale today. I made this hard decision after days of waiting, and finally decided to use my food money to get this game. Now the game ran for 3 hours and steam has rejected my refund. I cannot charge back through my credit card since I am using wechat pay. I wonder if there's anything that I can do? It is absurd that they refused to protect my rights as a consumer. I wish I could get the refund.

Blizzard have the same refund policy as steam, 14 days of owning and less than 2 hours to play time.

If it was only a couple days, you can ask for the difference to be put in your steam wallet with a ticket. It's been done before.

yea it's been done before but valve stopped doing it cause it was abused too much

Sorry OP. It's happened to most of us. Sales occur often but consider that 3 hours of immediate gratification worth the difference in price or something. Since I buy a lot of games in the past year I try to get them on sale but I don't have super strict boundaries as that is sometimes more frustrating than paying and enjoying without needless worry of value.

The first refund request was rejected automatically by the system because you literally have too many hours in the game already.

Apply again and describe in detail how you bought it hours before sale, wait for the answer. The second or third attempt will be replied to by a human and if all you said is true, they will probably grant you a refund or partial refund.
