Do y'all think it still worth playing in 2024?

I mean... I don't know if should I trust Activision Blizzard, since I've only played Diablo Immortal (Immoral) and now I don't know what should I expect from this game... Since Activision Blizzard chose NetEase as partnership, I already lost interest with Activision Blizzard and all his games long time ago... But now let's talk about question, let's be clear, I don't wanna confusions nor toxicity. I wanna you guys be honest. It still worth playing this game in 2024? And do y'all think this game is still fun? If it's "yes", why? I would be glad to hear your opinions and the reason on why should I buy this game. And how the game state is?

Get a month of Gamepass and try it out, that is what I do with expensive games I am not sure about that are also on Gamepass.

I think it's worth it but I am a VERY casual player who pays next to no attention to details and my eyes glaze over when people start talking specs and stats etc. I just like strolling around the world doing a bit of this and that while progressing the story and doing dungeons etc

But man... the always online thing is VERY annoying if you just want a single player experience like I do. I just lost 20 minutes or more of dungeon progress because the server yet again decided it just didn't want to stay connected.

True, Diablo IV is like Diablo Immortal, even Diablo Immortal has online multiplayer only. I guess I am forced to get help by players during open world, but I am veteran better than them. But yeah, I might simply ignore em and even if they say hi to me, I pretend they doesn't exist...

I block all messages and every possible way for people to interact with me, I also enable streamer mode. I want to play single player but am forced into always online and I cant express how much that annoys me but overall the game is still pretty good imo.

People seem to leave me alone anyway though...

To me season-4 is much more fun than Hades 2 and Helldivers, for example And it's not to me only: the game has peaked in S4 on Steam (+25% online compared to its release).

I think it just hides names, I just turn off everything that allows messages/trading/friend stuff etc. Not sure, I just clicked every possible option to make it as single player as possible

Either way, try it on Gamepass is my recommendation, there is a lot to like as it is obviously very polished with nice graphics and high level production values etc. It's well worth a look

Oh I see. Anyway, I'll buy this game on console only. I prefer to have some limitations, at least no one can invite me on group, nor trade. They said I can play even if I don't have the subscription to play online, but I will get some limitations. For example I can't form the group, I can't trade with players, I can't use the chat, but I can still play, explore and doing some dungeon. And of course even if I don't have the subscription, I can still see the players during open world, so they can still help me anyway. Then it's totally useless to form the group lol. But yeah, I think the console version fits to me, only because I wanna play in comfort.

It was pretty obvious what Diablo Immortal was from the start. Diablo 4 on the other hand is a fantastic game that has significantly improved since launch.

Yeah, it's kinda a improvement to Diablo Immortal and Diablo 3.
