Game became way too easy with Season 4
I have been playing Diablo 4 for one and half months right now. The game was challenging, with open world gameplay, lots of interesting quest, top notch graphics, sound, art style. I had to use run and hit tactics, every skill in my possession to beat the dungeons. Everything is well and good... Until Season 4 came.

The game suddenly became too easy now. I don't know if it's about the overpowered items or powered down monsters, but it's not fun anymore. I just stand without doing anything and creatures can't harm me. Just like Diablo 3, it was one of the reason why I quit playing that game. And since it's an online game, I can't turn back to Season 3.

Everyone keeps talking about how good Season 4 is. So I think I'm the only one who feels like this.

Too easy? You get 1 shot by lvl 61+ pit bosses. Not to mention Lilith and other tormented bosses assuming you don't exploit the necromancer holy bolt glitch. Even helltide blood maiden boss with profane buff while leveling is a challenge.

Of course random mobs in the overworld don't do anything but that's supposed to be that way. What content are you doing if you say it's too easy?

I played every season of d3 till diablo 4 dropped, and only did the campaign and almost all side quest in d4, didn't care about the seasons, and after the loot overhaul, s4 is the best so far, well the loot overhaul is, no idea what s4 is about.
If I want a slow grind I can play d2 resurrected without mods.

Tbh - I am with the O-Poster. I am a mix of 'old-school' and casual player and got D4 after a looong phase of denying to get it a) for the high price and b) of the lots of... uhm... -to be kind- 'mixed reviews' anywhere. I do not follow 'Guides' but do prefer to explore the game by myself -preferably w' friends- and found it 'likewise' pretty challenging in Season#3, but satisfying as well.
I now fired up a new char in season#4, to get a very different experience. I *do* admit, that the "Loot Reborn" mechanics are easier to understand and -kind of- 'better for the players'. BUT in my 'casual point of view' they served foremost the advanced and 'high end' players, who get to lvl 1oo asap. I have no 8o+ despite having played more than 3oo hrs. I did not understand all of the "high end builds' because I did not care. (( Bcz finding out for myself,))
Yet my new char advanced ((personal feeling)) WAY too fast w'out doing sth 'significant'. Yes. it's kind of fun to advance in might that fast. But NOW I am at a point, where he/she feels WAY too OP and I DO miss the 'dangerous moments' of first exploring the game.
I neither blame anyone nor 'the game' for this. I just agree w' the OP, that they somewhat screwed up the point of "reaching the goal is the -real- journey" to 'fit the needs' of the super-'leet' players who get to lvl 1oo in 1o ((( !!!!!!!! ))) hours.
I still like the game a lot 'per se' and a lot of the changes 'me likes'. But as someone who VERY likes the 'road to the top' ((and the time it takes)) I am disappointed as well.

I think because leveling isn't based on quests and campaign, it needs to be fast. I have 1900 hours in grim dawn...leveled at least 30 chars to 100, where you level by completing quests in the campaign, normal elite ultimate. This game doesn't have that, so you're just mindlessly grinding away the same ass areas over and over to level up. Sure, you can do campaign, and that's what I did when d4 released. But I fell asleep doing it. It was boring as hell for some reason. So they need the leveling process in this game to be fast, or else you're just gonna get bored. That's my opinion on it at least. I'm enjoying this season much more than s3 or release. I didn't play s1 or 2 because like I said, I got bored of the game. S3 I only played to level 48 before I gave up again out of boredom.
As someone who makes my own unconventional builds without looking up meta I actually enjoy it a lot, a lot more options are viable and I can make pretty much anything work now. Game might feel easy before level 100, but I consider it a transitional “tutorial” phase. Actual challenge comes during endgame with Pits and NMDs at higher level obliterating even the strongest builds. Don’t feel like handicapping player during leveling phase is a good idea, I’d rather destroy stuff and level up quickly so I could reach endgame where actual challenge comes.

Its just dumb, too easy and they put too much health and dmg reduction to monsters too. Almost like Asians designed this. I think they main designer turned Asian.

Season 3 was much better, I get my title and go.

I hope they add NFT/Crypto for better rewards.

For me is doing it faster. But hey, if you played the game to that point that you are overpowered to do everything, I think you played a lot. I mean no game is forever.
And you can play non season character wich I think is season 3.

1) the game is middle-class-dad oriented so the easier it is - the better;

2) try doing L100+ Pits, they are the end-game and aren't even remotely easy :lunar2019madpig:

3) the devs are adding layers of difficulty and new equip methods one after another, I'm sure we are getting a lot of more difficult content soon (as well as the more powerful equipment) :lunar2019piginablanket:

lol what? or are you talking about bullet sponges like in division game? what does being asian have to do with making monsters with more health and dmg reduction? lmao

The game always was easy. Dunno what mushrooms some of you guys consume but s4 actually introduced very hard content.

so you cleared T100 Pits? you know, we have an endless game mode now to challenge your build.

Because of thoughts like this we had to have our game nerfed into oblivion.
If I want to feel underpowered I'll play Alien Isolation again. Let us feel powerful in at least one game.
PS: Game still hard asf on tier 4

How couldn't I think of that?... Hmm, maybe that's because I'm already at Tier 2 and couldn't select any other higher Tier because the game doesn't allow me to that without beating the game once.

Yes, I've exactly done that. If Blizzard devs want to cater a game to 90 years old grannies who thinks clicking at something on the screen a feat, then there's no choice to move on anyway.
