How do I get better gems?

I have been level 60 for quite a while now. I played through the whole game completed everything in every region and now just unlocked the third world tier and I'm working on getting the fourth one. Yet when I go to the jeweler I still only have two possible crafts for gems. How do I get the better ones? I was previously told that I needed to be level 60 and in World tier 3. I am now in World tier 3 and level 60 but I still can't craft the gems. Also how do I get the heads and things that I need for lairs?

you should be able to craft tier 3 gems as you are at lvl 60 which is flawless you wont unlock the next tier royal until 90! if you cant craft flawless then you probably don't have enough gem fragments for the materials to craft them! so just farm hell tide chest, also deconstruct the gems you have don't sell them because you can get the fragments back!

WOlrd 3 give your gems crafting for 100 shards world 4 uncap them.

The 4th gem is expensive needs 10k fragments, NM dungeons are a good source of gem fragments.

It's not like old diablo where x chipped gems equals a regular gem, x regulars equals a flawless, and so on. You can't use lower tier gems to make higher gems, in case that's what you were thinking. You only use fragments to make every tier of gem. So deconstruct those lower ones to get your fragments back, if you did make a bunch of those.

Hi, I am at level 62 and cannot craft flawless gems as well. I have enough fragmets but I don't see that option. Only gem tier 1 and 2

which world tier are you jack
you should be able to craft flawless on t3 and royal on t4

T3 gems cost 1000 specs, it's likely you simply don't have enough mats

The final Tier unlocks at Level 91 for crafting, wearable at 90. Making those two actions separate doesn't make any sense... :) (It may if you have alts that can make them, I guess)

Each Tier of gem requires more material, so check it to see how much it takes.

The "glowing" mobs drop gem fragments. Good places to farm them are in Helltides, while you're leveling Glyphs in Nightmare Dungeons, or in the beginning areas of Boss lairs.

For the latter, enter the Boss lair, farm the mobs there, don't bother spawning the boss, exit, reset the dungeon, farm again. :)

i'm 65, and didn't see this option. Even in *all* list. Not only in *createable* list

It's difficult to know exactly what you're experiencing.

If you go to the Gem vendor, select the kind of Gem you wish to craft, then select the Tier of that Gem you wish to craft. That description should indicate whether or not you can craft that particular gem. If you can't, the category of reason why you can't craft it should be the color "Red." For instance, if you don't have enough shards of that gem, the amount of shards needed and/or how many of them you have should be colored red.

You may have to scroll down the description tab to see that, though...

Few of the crafting dialogue panels make a lot of intuitive sense. So, your confusion, if that is what is causing the issue, is understandable.

I too am in the same situation. I'm level 63, am playing on Torment. I have 1000+ Ruby fragments ... BUT ... wait for it ... the bleeping Jeweler does not offer a Flawless Ruby selection. It's just not in the bleeping GUI.

How do we get the jewelers to offer Flawless when we have enough fragments?

Flawless gems unlock to craft at 71. The fextralife link above does include that information, but it has other misleading and incorrect information as well. From Blizzard's announcement when they made the change (S4):

Gems are simpler, streamlined and more effective across your Character’s journey. Crude Gems have been removed, and crafting levels have been shifted back. Normals Gems are available at Level 51, Flawless at 71, and Royal at 91.

If your level isn't high enough, the UI doesn't appear for that tier of gem. If you are high enough, but don't have enough shards, it will show that you can craft 0 in that tier.
