But I'd say Sorcerer is my favorite so far. That's what I've played for the last two seasons. But I've enjoyed Barbarian (launch) and Rogue (season 1) as well.
Barbarian might be my favourite (slightly) so far, because the combat just feels so meaty and satisfying.
S1 going Dualswing Frenzy Zerker with alot of stun, pretty much the incarnation of "hack and slay", with insane attack speed.
S2 I went for Barbarian again at first, as I had ideas from S1 and wanted to try out something else, as The S1 Zerker was only using dual-wield, I wanted to make use of the full Arsenal and go WA/IM, with leapquake and Lunge for mobility, and HotA for the damage.
Next was a Frost-Sorc, not 100% pure as I was using Firebolt and Chainlightning enchantments, but only using Frost skills. Used Blizzard with icespikes for damage, Frozen Orb to supplement.
After reaching NMD90 with it, I changed to Ball Lightning (some inspirations from meta, but mostly selfmade still), just to join in on the exploit and do NMD100 and ULilith with it.
S3 I started out with Druid, after having played one as hybrid to 75 during preseason, I was eager to get back, and after seeing the shepherd aspect ingame, I knew what to do, full companion with Windshear, Lightning Storm and Cataclysm. Worked fine for NMD90, but rather then pushing it further, I started another Char:
While playing the Frostsorc in S2, I started to think about a Firesorc variant, and one evening, I had a vision!
Say hello to 'Tim, the Enchanter', eagerly throwing flames and explosions all around (probs to anyone getting the reference). And this time, he is "pure" as in, he does only use fireskills, fireenchantments, and deals only firedamage.
I started out with using Incinerate, Hydra and Firewall, trying to figure out best synergies. Once I got the unique helm for Meteor, I switched out Firewall for it. Last transformation was after I got the unique staff and gloves for Fireball, switching out Incinerate.
While I felt like a walking Flamethrower with Incinerate, now I feel like a walking orbital-strike command. Just pointing my finger at things, and moments later, fiery death rains from the sky. Hydra used as a TAG (Target Acquisition Gear).
Whole setup is Firebolt, Fireball, Flame Shield, Hydra, Meteor and Inferno, with Hydra and Meteor enchantment. Breezing through NMD20-25, NMV20+ (so, 20-25lvls above my own) also quite easy, only the endroom can screw you up easily.
But I tend to like melee in D4 a bit more just for the reason that melee sucks in PoE and I pretty much only play everything else there. Melee just feels so much better in D4, really happy about that.
It will also get cool legendary affix in next season wthich will split incinerate into 3 beams
