D4 2.0 in S4 hype.
Addresses virtually all the complaints, revamps many bad systems, introduces new systems. These guys been cooking. Looks like they had their A team on this for a while.

Yeah, looks really good so far. Can't wait for PTR in 2 weeks :)
The PTR server is only for those who have the game in the BattleNet version, I don't know if those who bought it through STEAM will have access to the PTR ( Sorry for my bad English ;w;)
They will not but the person looking forward to it does not own it on Steam.

Does anyone know how the Drop Rate will be in the PTR? Will it be same as final version or will they increase the drop rate for the PTR?

In D3 the drop rates were way higher since they wanted to test things and you had to find the items for that.
they said drop rate for legendaries would be x2 on ptr

Yup I'm super hyped. I've almost played out LE for now, will come back when they polish the game up a bit more. Good timing to try the new D4 changes. If the changes are as they appear this will be very good for D4.

I remember people saying it couldn't be made better because itemisation is 'fundamentally broken'. Yet here they come blowing up itemisation completely to do exactly that. The haters will need to dig deep. Be prepared for some Big Mad (see above for an example).

Blowing it up doesn't mean making it better. As usual, the hype will give way to huge disappointment.

If you really have zero faith that the game can be better it's probably just time to move on. It happens. We all set our own expectations. I still enjoy D4 and I think the upcoming changes look promising. If I end up disappointed I won't lose sleep over it.

I am quite hyped, it shows (once again) that they are indeed listening, and do their best to improve the game. Now, how that will turn out is to be seen, but I am quite confident they will do a respectable job, at least not screw it up totally.
I don't expect them to fix everything regarding itemization in one big overhaul, but rather to make sure the change goes "smooth" and then build up on it. I expect that the itemization will not be completely "fixed" before the upcoming expansion, but that they are on the right track.

I have still fun currently in the game, maybe as I don't stress too much, and rather go slow experimenting around with different builds, but even if I come to the point I get bored, I just switch to some other game and come back later, so far it has been no longer than like 2 weeks for me to come back.
So I will definetly be there for S4 launch, and I rather expect my interest in the game to grow with it, but even if not, no sweat.

Yep, hater's gonna hate, and you can currently see it live in action (over at the LE forums at least), regarding the campfire chat and upcoming S4. Did not look far, but there was already people trashing about Blizz just stealing stuff from LE or other games.
I gonna bet plenty of these were the same that constantly trashed on D4 by comparing it to features of LE or PoE or whatever, and calling the devs names for not taking those concepts into D4.

Not to mention, that if we go that road of argumentation, we could say that any game in the ARPG/H&S genre is basically a copy of Diablo (which itself was actually a "copy" of Rogue), in as they all took over and build upon mechanics from Diablo.

I watched the full video of the campfire and the changes that they have made? Pretty big W for Diablo team.

So I'll play in the next season. Right now I'm just waiting for Dragons Dogma 2.

The only thing that they might have "borrowed" was their Forging system as it was supposedly pretty similar to LE.

They did though rip the Greater Rift from Diablo 3 and labeled it under a new name.

It's what they do best. Half of the IPs from their "glory days" were ripped off from elsewhere.

Good thing that I own it on both platforms, actually since Blizzard fckd up the language selection in my Steam copy I was thinking about going back to Bnet, now with access to PTR I will uninstall my Steam copy and download it on Bnet instead! Battlenet FTW!
