My idea, we all give 10 bucks to them every month and we all have a chance to win some money too. If wins was 500 or 1000 bucks, most people would keep paying 10 bucks per month.
It just makes me mad cause some of the really cool looking armors are $25-$28. I love transmog and it bothers me that they keep so much of it for the store.

They are trying to catch whales with FOMO and thats far more profitable than trying to get the average dude that wants to buy one or to of these armors.
I mean think about it. 1000 (probably even far more) blizzard stans buying the whole cash shop is a far better monetization tactic than having like 50/100 k people buying one or two sets.
It sucks for people like us but thats the times we live in. They do not make games for fans. They make games for whales. The whole game screams whale design. Thats the reason why they have a whole department of psychologists working there.
Devs have to make a living you know, pretty hard to do, when they have to charge less for countries where currency is less valued.
Also it's a live service game, like Division 1-2 or Destiny 1-2
