About trading.

So i see in trade chat that there is a lot od Duriel materials sold at aprox the same price, seems to be 7 mill per material or 14 per set. now i do not see a issue with this at all but i am wondering what people are hoarding gold for. i played mostly solo and never traded anything and are sitting on 700 mill gold that is WAY more then i could ever use to re-roll stats with.
So what the heck are people using the money on they get from selling the materials ?

They're buying equipment pieces with high roll values, they can get very expensive. Like over 5b.
