Aspect of the Ultimate Shadow - Blood Wave

Greetings,

i'm looking for tips regarding the aspect in the title which states to turn the blood wave in a shadow skill TOO (so it counts as blood and shadow skill at the same time but deals shadow damage only, am i right?).

My question is: does the dark blood wave activate blood passives (like gruesome mending, drain vitality etc) or shadow passives (like gloom, crippling darkness, etc) or both?

Sorry if the question is stupid, but i'm pretty new to this genre, i'm trying to finalize a blood lance\wave build with some shadow aspects (ikr, it may not be the best build, but I like these kind of hybrid builds).
