Steam Deck + Battle.net stopped working? Worked Yesterday, not today

Hey guys! So, I am playing Diablo 4 on my Steam Deck but via battlenet. Never had any issues and I played the game fine yesterday. However today, after logging into battlenet, I get a dark blue empty battlenet background screen with the battlenet mouse cursor but no UI. No button to play, no popup I need to close, no nothing. Just a dark blue screen.

Anyone else have this issue? I wonder if it's an issue on my end or if maybe a new Proton Experimental update broke something?

That has happened to me before, click the ... button and go to developer > clear proton files and see if that works, otherwise try changing proton version. I think one of the protons got updated recently.

So, I’ve fixed it now, somehow. Not sure what did it in the end but here’s what I did to get it working again:

1. I deleted the Proton files like TeknoBug said.
2. I tried to launch Diablo 4 through Steam but Steam asked me to install battle.net again. So I did.
3. After reinstalling/updating (not sure what it did as technically battle.net was still installed) I tried launching Diablo 4 again. This time I could get to the battle.net login screen but there was no login button.
4. I found a similar issue on Reddit and someone posted a fix for it, so I added the recommended command to the launch parameter of Diablo 4. I also switched to desktop mode, just in case. See this post for the command: https://www.reddit.com/r/SteamDeck/s/xStQLmld6A
5. After all this, I was finally able to login to battle.net again and was able to launch the game.
6. I exited the game and switched back to Game Mode. And now I can launch and play the game again from Game Mode

Hope this helps someone. A bit tedious but maybe not all those steps would have been necessary. Thanks to everyone who helped

I think it happens when bnet gets an update, which it did a few days ago.
