Report a translation problem
I usually play with KB/M on PC, but I also played D4 quite a bit on the PS5 with a controller (and plugged it into the PC to test it out also). Compared to D3 (on console) or D2:R, it felt much better. They definitely improved controller support.
More generally, there are classes and builds that work better with a controller than others. Sorcerer, for example, feels much better with KB/M (the current Ball Lightning OP build may actually work decently with controller, but teleporting is so much more accurate with the mouse), but my werewolf druid I found controller more pleasant to play with. So, it really depends on what you play.
Switching between controller and KB/M is seamless on PC. The game automatically switches to whatever input device the most recent input came from.
