Diablo 4 Transferability from Battle.net to Steam

I urge Blizzard Entertainment and Steam to consider implementing a system that allows players who already own Diablo 4 on Battle.net to transfer their licenses to Steam without extra cost. This would not only show appreciation for the dedicated fanbase but also promote a more user-friendly and inclusive gaming experience.
I also want to acknowledge that, in such cases, review bombing may become inevitable, but in this instance, it would be justified.

I hope they do this, they did for destiny even though that’s not a blizzard game but would be so handy for people that want to play on steam deck

Even EA lets you load the Sims 3 and 4 across both platforms. Can Blizzard be greedier than EA?

While it seems like a nice gesture, like you said, this would just lead to more review bombing which we don't want if we want more Blizzard titles coming to Steam. Plus Blizzard has no obligation to do this and you really don't need Steam as it's the same game on both platforms.

Diablo 4 does have cross play tho this is more about having to repurchasing as it was not directly obvious Blizzard would come to steam cos they never where before anyway.

You don't wanna know how much EA games have been sold a second time, just because people wanted a Steam licence.

Companies know this, they ain't stuppid (unlike people like me, buying the same twice).

Same goes for Ubisoft, etc.

Blizzard is no difference, they all the same.

You forget about bethesda tho also acquired by Microsoft, also Microsoft is under careful watch, they do anything controversial its gonna become a big problem for them.
Their goal is to maintain Blizzard customers not drag them down thru the mud.
