Not having to start it from the battle.net launcher but directly from Steam will be fewer steps and maybe even a smoother experience.
Despite what Fox claims...which is false...it can already be played on Steam Deck.
Plenty of video's out there:

I suspected Diable 4 would end up on Steam eventually due to Overwarch coming to Steam recently so I waited. Beta was pretty fun on the Steam Deck.
lmao, I am calling ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
I have it on my Steam Deck. Runs fine. I was playing it while at work, I work 12 hour shifts night shift and some stretches are boring. Ran fine even on my crappy hot spot from my phone. It is slightly complicated to get it to work on the Steam Deck but there is good step by step guides for it. Steam Deck is my favorite purchase, tech wise, in like the last 8 years.
Only real problem I have is the Blizzard Launcher, for some reason, only wants to download at between 14kbs-10mbs. I have gig fiber optic and it downloads so slow on my PC and on the Steam Deck. But Steam downloads are fine. I tried Googling it but nothing helped so I just live with it, start the download while I go to sleep for work.
*Edit*
I have it set to low graphics on my Steam Deck so IDK how well it would run on Ultra. I don't like having to play and keep the Steam Deck plugged in.
And No I am not buying the damn game again on Steam, I already wasted $70 on this trash once.
