edit: Go to the Blizz forums and look at all the changes, patch notes, endless amount of nerfs and all the complaints since it launched. The game is only Diablo in name, it lost it's charm and what made it special.
the entire game is scaling you to enemies, then the scaling tapers off and the game feels like ♥♥♥♥, and to top it off by the time you hit this point the game has run out of content.
go take a look at my elder scrolls online if you want an in-depth review on how scaling like this feels once you notice it
Let’s see:
- The battle pass. Hard as ♥♥♥♥ to grind for EXP.
- The seasonal content is bland as ♥♥♥♥ and after you complete the story, you’ll be scratching your head on what to do next.
- a lot of cool cosmetics are locked behind a paywall. The paywall being 10 dollars minimum and I’ve seen a skin cost, at least, 20 dollars. Talk ♥♥♥♥ about D3 but you had to play the game for the cool ♥♥♥♥.
Honestly? Just buy Diablo 3. It’s a better experience if you’re craving a Diablo game. If you want a Diablo-like, there’s plenty on steam.
I'd probably just get it through B.net though, instead of having nested launchers.
So, Diablo 3, launch year, Inferno difficulty, all over again, basically.
So, Diablo 3 story writing in a nutshell, transferred over to Diablo 4?
40-50 hours is pretty bad for a Diablo game, except for Diablo 1, because it had very little replayability. Like even as bad as D3 was at launch, people still put in at least 100 hours; I think I put in 150 hours in the launch year of D3 most of which was grinding to get past Inferno Act 2.
